What are current flatbed rates for coming out of Michigan/Indiana?
Company Im leased to offers me real cheap rates imo. I want to know what kind of rates everyone else is getting. I dont want to sell myself short here.

Do you have the Truckloads app? If not then download the free app. Plug in your search features and many loads have advertised rates. I just checked Detroit loads for 48' flat with maximum 50 deadhead and it looks like there's plenty of loads in the $1.70 to $2.00 range.

That's pretty darn cheap for that area. Just more evidence that public load boards, especially the free ones, rarely have a load paying good enough to haul.

Posted rates are a lousy way to determine what an area is like. The reason brokers post rates on loads is to cover them quickly and as cheaply as possible. That price being posted on there has the desired effect (for the broker anyway) of giving potential carriers the mindset that "OK that is the posted price and there is no negotiation". Most people looking for loads love to see prices already on them and will book them up quickly when the rate is posted.
