Question to any DHT drivers here... do you use any compressor cooler in your truck? If so, which brand?
If you were able to have a small fridge installed in the truck, which one was it? Did company install it for you? Did you have a cabinet or a seat removed to have it installed?

    Chinatown Thanks this.

DHT doesn't have any navigation GPS. Which GPS do you DHT drivers use?

Personal GPS, Rand McNally Motor Carriers Atlas, Google Maps, Truckers Path (to plan my 10 hr. breaks) Between those 4, my eyes and my brain, I find the best route and write it down with pen and paper. Gets me there every time. I do not trust any GPS, to get me to my destination. Good tool. Great for ETA's, Fuel Stops, Points of Interest etc. I never depend on it for anything else.

I was told DHT gives fuel stop locations, which may keep driver in a certain route and may eliminate his/her need to find alternative routes depending where he/she is.
Does Truckers Path show low overpasses and other truck restrictions like weight, HM, etc?
What personal GPS do you use?

I worked at DHT 2015-16 back then we could fuel at any loves/ pilot not a fan of being told where to fuel now.
Like the loves in Erick Oklahoma hate that place and not a fan of Kingman flying j also! I would fuel in Williams AZ instead if it was my choice.
I cant stand pilot/flying j there dumps, spots are super tight have to worry about ripping someone hood off just pulling out of a spot with idiots parked everywhere ;)

I hate that too... being able to choose where and when to fuel helps a lot with optimization of hrs... and like you said, avoid those awful and congested truck stops...
DHT still uses Love's, FJ/ Pilots... but their system determines which location to fuel and how many gallons....

    Kolorado Thanks this.
