    I'm thinkin maybe he reached down and popped the brakes because the wheels did not act like ABS behaviour

    Maybe.
    Or the very quick unload messed up the airsuspension which controls the braking.

    @Pedigreed Bulldog
    Might want to rethink this part off your statement.
    To put it nicely,you have posted smarter.

    1 Dashcam had every right to be in the left lane the way he was gaining on the slow truck
    2 Since when is Leo's Trailer Service a Mega?
    Let's blame it on elogs , the driver parked on the shoulder to pee, because of the 14 hour rule. Sounds legit?

    As someone who drives the speed limit, I see it first hand every time I'm on the big road...governed truck jumps out into the hammer lane just as a truck closing in on him (namely me) is about to overtake, causing that truck to have to hit the brakes. Wait 3-5 seconds and I'll be by and it's clear behind me...but no, now I'm stuck behind you for 3-5 miles as you inch past. With that much distance ahead of him when he grabbed the hammer lane, it is unfortunate the W9 did not realize what was going on, but can't say I blame him for using the right lane to go around...especially when the governed truck starts slowing down in the hammer lane.

    If all you've ever known is driving a governed truck, you may not realize how far up their rear ends a lot of governed truckers usually have their heads when they pull into the hammer lane. Unfortunately, we don't get to see that here...just the tragic result of the culmination of several different drivers making less than ideal choices.

    Again, not saying anyone by themselves (other than W9, of course) could have prevented this from happening altogether, but that EVERYONE'S individual actions made a situation develop that was ripe for catastrophe. Just because you didn't get hit doesn't mean you weren't involved. Look at the whole scene, not "just" the impact.

    If all three drivers applied to Swift, which one definitely wouldn't get hired?

    Now you know why I drive 2-3 miles an hour under the speed limit as my company suggests, do so will prevent rear end crashes.

    Also following distance works wonders for preventing rear end crashes.
