Viofo a119 v3, had it for a year and a half and works fine 24/7. Mounted center windshield, it sees my fender mirrors.
There are so many options and price points out there these days for dash cams. Over the last week I have been researching and trying to decide which unit I’m going to purchase. Garmin 46, 56 or 66 Nextbase Viofo A129 BlackVue The list goes on and on. Tons of YouTube videos reviewing these, but as always you will find some that like them and some that don’t. For the price point and overall positive reviews I am thinking either the Garmin 46 or Viofo A129.
Yeah I know there's overwhelming options out there and I trust most people's opinions here on stuff like this so that's why I asked. I was also hoping to get a little concensus on some options and I got that so I'm just reading up on features now. While I'm here thought I would also ask if any of you mind posting some pics of your mounted cameras? I'm hoping I can do something to avoid drilling any holes in the dash or anywhere else really.
If you don't want to wait to have one mailed out through Amazon, you can go to any TA/Petro and get the Cobra 2 cam system, about $200 bucks more or more. I bought one years ago but the wiring broke going to the second cam so I bought another one. So now I have two functioning main dashcams and one auxiliary cam that is weatherproof for the mirror or anywhere outside the truck. For a while I had it velcro'd up dead center rear of the cab and could monitor my flatbed while driving, plus the added bonus of filming traffic behind me. I recently put it back on the driver mirror looking back. I used some truck stop velcro and cut two slots in it and zip tied the cam to the velcro and stuck it back to the mirror. Holds solid.
Ive had a “NEXTGADGET’’ three years now. Paid $30 or so,,,but if I had to actually download or save anything I’d have to get the manual out. I wish they could make them as user friendly as a cell phone
Garmin gps with the built in cam because I hate having #### all over my interior, keeps track of my ifta too and can plug in as a tattle box if you needed it too
I've got a garmin that I really like. I have the GPS tagging feature turned on. That way if they try to say I caused an accident by speeding, I've got proof I wasn't. I like it. There are alot of good options out there.
