Get an espar bunk heater. Well worth the money. Uses very little fuel to produce lots of heat. For now just get under the covers, you can stave off the last of winter until it returns in October or so. Soon it will be the opposite problem; too hot for decent sleep.

Yup, I use Webasto bunk and engine heaters. I use them down to -30 in the winter, below that I leave it running. Only had to once last winter.

Minus thirty? Ya screw that noise. My bones hurt too much at plus thirty. at minus thirty they'd probably lock in place or shatter like fragile crystal.

Yes, not fun at those temps.
But still diesel fired heaters work great. I left my truck parked over the weekend once. It was -34 on the Monday morning. The engine pre-heater ran for two hours, then I just hit the key and the truck fired right up.

It ain't my truck that I'm worried about. I trust it to start. But until they invent a pre heater for my joints and bones ill be leaving rider climates for you other guys.

I figure mine at 150mpg avg. Don't know exactly because I haven't really calculated it but it's roughly that. Like 1.8 cents per mile. Volvo D13 engine.

    I'm really confused then. I've been running about 2,500 miles a week w/ a 13 Volvo w/ a smaller engine getting 6.8mpg I've got about 3/4 of a 15 gallon tank left and I topped it 3 weeks ago.

DEF tank sizes vary quite a bit... No way to tell with so much missing information.
