Between truck washes, the outside of my DEF tank typically has crystals of dried DEF on it from splashes that happen during filling. I also have a crack in the filler neck that makes it a little worse. Couple days ago the mess was about as bad as it could get when I parked at my hotel in Charleston SC. To my amazement, when I was pre-tripping the next morning, the DEF tank was squeaky clean. Not one crystal remained. It had not rained during the night. I had not brushed up against foliage when I parked. I'm wondering if deer or stray dogs would find it tasty to lick the dried urea. ?????
