I park by a Walmart by my house in Vegas. Or if I’m a pinch I have a few buddy’s that have room at their lots.

Finished my 3 stop run all on time and with ease. Finished up around 1400 Monday outside of Portland. Had to camp out until today(Tuesday) to grab a load of soda to Denver. Delivers Friday, but will probably drop in our yard and grab a loaded to go home for a few days. 2800 miles this pay period.

Well grabbed a Denver load from Portland area to Denver, dropped in yard and grabbed a Wilmington, Ca load. Got home in Vegas Friday afternoon and headed out Monday night for Monday late night delivery. Grabbed a load on Long Beach Tuesday for Denver. I’ll drop that tomorrow(Thursday) in our yard. Have to layover until Friday night($75 layover pay). Friday night I’ll have a 6 stop load($240 in drop pay) going to Hutchison KS, Denton TX, Dallas, Houston, and final in San Antonio. Pay raise from .45 to .52 should kick in in a week or two!

Sounds like they like to keep the drivers moving!. Las vegas to denver is about 700 miles. Can you make it within 11 hours?

    What is denney governed at?

Governed at 70. No from Vegas I’ll usually stop at dotsero, Edwards, or vail(depending on weather). Yea longest I’ve waited to be dispatched after an unload was maybe an hour. I’ll usually have my next load info before unloading or within 20 min. Granted sometimes that load may not load until they next morning or night, but that is what layover pay is for!

Busy busy busy last few days!

Left Denver Friday night for my 6 stop load ending in San Antonio. Went pretty dang smooth and surprisingly in my 8 years driving it was the first time I drove overnight. Man parking is so much easier when shutting down at 0900.

What I like about all our multi stop loads in the stops are all only a handful of pallets and SUPER light. All stops went rather quick and one of them only had one pallet that didn’t need to be broken down so I “lumped” it myself. Easy $40 and 10 min later that stop was done. If you want to lump your load, Denney will pay you 10% less than lumper fee(lumper was going to charge $44, thus I got $40 to do it).

Unloaded final in San Antonio noon Monday then headed up to Arlington 0200 Tuesday(today) to pick up at a cold storage place headed to Cheyenne, wy. 8.5 hours later I finally got loaded

Deliver Cheyenne Thursday, then down do Denver for a 34. Friday night I’ll start a trek to North Carolina for 2 stops. Next week my pay will bump up from .45 to .52! First 4 weeks here and I’ve ran 12,253 miles and managed to be home like 8 or 9 nights in Vegas.

How are they with detention pay? Do they give a pretty detailed pay statement every week? Any problems so far with detention, miles short?

Seems like you were able to get in a 8 sleeper berth while waiting over there in arlington. What are they using quailcomm or peoplenet?

This was the only time I’ve had to wait more than 2-3 hours somewhere. I believe detention starts 2 hours after appointment, and is $12.50/hr(don’t quote me on that). That being said, I’m not sure if I’ll get it on this load since my appointment was 0300 and I couldn’t legally arrive until 0700 and was a “work in” at that point. So we shall see. I have a few settlements I keep meaning to post. I want to make some notes on them before posting, the layout is confusing at first.

Yea I actually ran out of hours and got an 8 in whole waiting. After loading I just headed up to Vernon on 287, and will get up to Cheyenne today. They’re on peoplenet. My first time with it and I like it, everyone I was in orientation with used it before and didn’t like it. No complaints from me though. You can even download a peoplenet app to your phone to send/rec messages and view(not change) hours. Haven’t downloaded it yet.

I always welcomed the opportunity to get some rest when having to wait for a live load/ unload. Especially those moments when the whole week was spent hammering down with no rest. Thats where tv or a good book to read comes useful.

Now if the delays at shippers become more frequent...then yeah thats going to be a problem lol.
