Vinsanity is right.
US Xpress payroll is very good about paying drivers on time as long as the driver sends in the Trip sheet with the BOL, weight ticket, tolls, etc. by Tuesday at midnight. They email me by paystub every Wendesday around 6-7pm then deposit my money into my account first thing Friday.
We personally have never had issues with the paychecks being short. You have to as the driver be meticulous about your paperwork.

That's good to know! We are very careful about our paperwork and keep records of everything, so we shouldn't have any trouble then. thanks

Now that we've been here for a year, I wanted to share some tips to make your experience at US Xpress easier:
1. The guard shack at all the company terminals have supplies you may need.
Trip Sheets, Bar Codes, Seals, Fuel Cards, Gate Passes, Checks for Lumpers
2. Company shop will give you spare parts
Headlights, rubber seals, fluid, chains, mattress for your bed
3. The company has chain banks around the country at several Pilot/Flying Js
Go in and let the cashier know your from US Xpress. They'll give you a form to fill out. You can return your chains there too.
4. We mainly fuel at Pilot/Flying J but this past year we've been fueling at Loves & sometimes TA/Petro
Make sure you get rewards cards for those places so you get shower credits.
5. Trucks idle when the temperature is below 28 and above 70
Many companies don't allow their drivers to idle no matter how hot it is.
6. Company asks that you give them 7-8 days notice for Hometime
Do it as soon as you know when you want to be home. We always give them a months notice.
7. If you live near a terminal, put it in the shop
No matter how small the problem. Better it be fixed on your hometime than somewhere out on the road
8. 423-510-3000
This is the companies main number. If you can't reach someone, call this number & hit 0. Tell the operator who you need to reach and more than likely she can get them than going thru different selections.
That's all I have for now. Hope this helps ! -
Thanks TD!

Jusy found our from Markham shop that US Xpress has been buying 2015 automatics and 10 speeds. They haven't made up their mind about going to all automatic.

Ill give ya a good little known sekrut. On the driver tech if you touch the little satellite icon at the bottom an option will open up that says backlight. Lower it to about 10-20 and the thing wont blind you anymore at night.

I agree. I do it at 1%. The On - Guard can be dimmed too. -
This is not always true. Keep any eye on your stubbs. If they do make a mistake and it does happen, talk to them and they will fix it.

Do you drive an auto or stick?

We drive a 10 speed Cascadia
