Thanks for posting your experience with Swift. I read your posts when I was deciding on which company to go with, and I went with Swift myself. I don't regret my decision.
By the way, you aren't the only one who has trouble finding empties. We always run into that problem when we drive the East Coast (in my limited, three weeks of experience).

Speaking of fuel got a message on Q regarding that today.
Apparently the company does not want drivers requesting emergency open fuelings. They want the drivers to seek reopting fuel before it reaches the point of emergency from now on.
Full Tank = 1200 miles
Each Quarter = 300 miles
Last Quarter = 250 miles
Sadly another message came across today regarding low bridges and a Question: Does a 13'6" trailer fit under a 12' 8" bridge? There were two accidents with drivers thinking they will be OK and attempting to fit under a low bridge. One driver was detoured but still decided to trust his GPS unit....
I enjoy reading about your work life 1nonly keep it coming and my apologies for interjecting. -
Quick answer.... YES! Nice & Tight!!! -
And send a bus ticket and a big math book. "Go home until you know how math works."
There is nothing sad about it...

No the message came to my truck on the qualcomm from my DM I guess, otherwise from somebody high up in the office who probably mass sent to the whole company.
Sad because of the level of ignorance and incompetence running rampant in society. -
Do you mean that trucks don't have automatic retractable air dams and trailer tops?
I guess that driver will have to stay away from ... well ... um
Everywhere. -
they had me set for 114gal the other day. Pump stopped at 114.3. I thought the qualcom said get 144.
Those messages you are getting aren't company wide. The mentor ones I have been getting might be. -
After delivering in Romeoville on Friday, they sent me to the Gary, IN terminal for a random alcohol test. That took a couple hours, then I did a quickie local from Munster, IN to Elwood, IL (pd miles 53). First thing Saturday morning, I did another quickie from Dwight, IL to Gary, IN (pd miles- 127). At Gary, I picked up a trailer going to Atlanta, GA which I am about to deliver now. After delivery, I'm going to put my truck in the shop at Decatur. I've got a bunch of little things broken that are nothing urgent, but need to be fixed. Now seems like as good a time as any to waste a day or two or three or four or five........
JustSonny Thanks this. -
