Did anyone see this about TMC?

Pretty much the same with hazmat tanker companies and race has nothing to do with it.
Have to get a good seal when wearing a respirator and a hard hat. A beard or too much hair won't allow the seal, so can't hire that person.
Can't imagine a married driver with a family turning down a good paying job because of his vanity.

 

Maybe they don't like their employees looking like they just crawled out from behind a dumpster. I haven't seen anybody with dreads that looked recently showered.

 

Really you are running with that statement. I am not a fan of dreads but there are plenty of decent people who happen to like them.

 

I didn't say they weren't decent people, I said they look like they haven't showered recently. Get your emotions out of it. Same goes for the long haired white dudes I know too.

Pretty sure I’ve seen guys with dreads wearing a hard hat. Stupid poorly fitting safety equipment, but required at TMC.

I think TMC may have made a costly mistake here, dunno.

Anybody with dreads here that can fill me in on whether or not you can manage a hard hat?

 

I’ve seen plenty wearing a hard hat, seen plenty of black folks trucking for TMC. This world is a ####ing joke anymore

 

Skin color has nothing to do with it. I've seen white guys turned down for jobs because they had too much hair for the safety helmet to fit properly. They were told, trim your hair so the helmet will fit and you have a job. The ones that refused, weren't hired.

 

They are braids. Man braids. Just like a man bun. And equally as awful.
