Mamamullins, the problem was that he had everything too set pat. A speeding ticket. Failure to declare it on the report. He nowhere near said anything like that.

I understand what you are saying...he misread it and even apologized for it. He wasn't the only one that made that assumption on here either. I have had plenty of conversations with dinomite on this forum...and I think I sound more like a recruiter on this forum then he does... lol Besides we all know what happens when you assume something...and it did...and he took his crow and ate it...

"He that controls the purse strings, controls the cash-flow too".
They can bill you but you have the CDL in hand and that, they cannot take back because they don't issue them, the state does. Don't sweat the bill... a Collection Agency has no legal recourse to attach wages or savings. Check with your State's Attorney General though. Some states, like New Jersey, can get you thrown in jail for failing to pay a debt but, an unlawfully generated debt may give you recourse to pursue wrongful contract liabilities against PAM.
I'm no lawyer but I did work for a law firm for 10 months... being coerced into a contract is illegal too.

You do not need a lawyer. The contract is unenforceable. They may threaten you but that is all. Any damage to your credit report has to be answered by you but all you have to do is send in your objections and your side of the story. Relax. Take deep breaths. Collection agencies may call but you can hang up and they can only call once a day. If they take you to court, and they won't, show up and tell it to the judge. Even if you lose they can't make you pay.

Keep applying for other jobs. Big companies with high turn over rates or small companies. 400,000 jobs will be unfilled at the end of this year. All you need is one of those jobs.

Yes sir I made a mistake. Quick to type and slow to comprehend. Yes I assumed and you know what happens when you do that. I just wouldn't figure somebody would not accept somebody on such a measly ticket like that. Maybe they figured there freight was slowing down, and they had too many drivers coming in that would be baby sitting trucks so they looked for an excuse to not accept. I also don't remember getting any diploma or ever having been asked about one. I did put down the name of the school I attended but since it was a company sponsored one. My cdl I guess was proof enough.

I've been following this discussion since this thread started. I have this unique ability to look at things and take them at face value. You have your CDL. I got mine also, albeit 20+ years ago after having my Class 1 Chauffeurs license 15 years before that, and never once has anyone asked me for my diploma. Be grateful you have your CDL in hand, now go out there and get a job, in case you haven't heard, we have a drivers shortage and need warm bodies out here. Or another way I look at it, hopefully you will get my job.......4 more years for me and I'm done.

with all the rookies that go to school. they don't even waste there time proving the debt is real.
