SHANGHAI (Reuters) - China's smog-hit capital Beijing will ban high-emission vehicles from Wednesday as part of its efforts to combat pollution, the official Xinhua news agency said, citing the local government.
Concerned about the damage done to its reputation by persistent smog, the municipal government promised in January that it would take "extraordinary" measures this year to curb emissions from coal consumption and cars.
China is also considering tough new measures restricting industrial activity in the region surrounding Beijing, according to a draft policy document seen by Reuters.

What a novel idea!
China has been getting hit hard by Politically Correct tourist from America about the public restrooms. They posted a sign yesterday on a restroom in Beijing; 3 doors to choose from, "Men", "Women", "Third Sex."
They need grief counselors just outside these restrooms to care for the American Snowflakes that will have mental breakdowns when they see those signs.
They should add a 4th door, "Safe Room" and have coloring books and Play-Doh available for the Snowflakes.Last edited: Feb 15, 2017

Beijing and its surrounding states suffer greatly from crippling pollution, thanks to the heavy industries up north. Earlier this year, Beijing cancelled dozens of flights at its airport and suspended buses due to heavy smog — and issued a pollution "red alert."
According to a study in 2015, air pollution is killing about 4,000 people in China each daylilillill Thanks this.
