It's easy to mount a cell phone to the dash if they're going to be used that way, so drivers wouldn't have to hold the phones in their hands.
That wouldn't stop an idiot from texting or browsing porn sites while he's driving, though.

I thought the FMCSA put it in the regulations that we may not only hold the phone while driving, but that we cannot "REACH" for the phone while driving either.
But then I hear people talking about the legal ability to 'touch one button' while driving but I'm not sure if they mean touch the phone which means "REACHING" for it or do they mean touch the bluetooth handsfree device button? -
I "reach" for my phone the same as I "reach" for my shifter, Jake controls, etc. My phone is mounted on the dash in easy "reach", so yes I can access apps on the fly with one or two touches (like MyRadar, Trucker's Path, etc). I can answer calls by voice command. As far as I am aware, my setup is legal in all states.All4Safety Thanks this.

Thank you for your post. In some forums that takes guts. But we will do what we can to protect those that are vulnerable to carnage, in our own way.

WTDF is up with the porn browsing? It amazes me that someone can't wait until the rest area, receiver or just pull off the #### road. Addiction is a strong mistress...mjd4277 Thanks this.
