Is this why I’m seeing more and more Volvo swift trucks?

    It’s a joke if you can’t tell.

I've driven them all and owned a VOLVO.
Look at the pictures in my profile.
9/11 caused fuel prices to skyrocket without any compensation (fuel surcharge) in place or rate increase back then, I couldn't afford to keep my truck and trailer.
I went back to driving for companies... who own Volvo trucks.

Sure I've had to take some jobs that have other brands, but those jobs just further convinced me that the other brands were built for profit, not saftey.

I speak from first hand experience TankerP.
I survived a rear end crash into another semi who pulled off the shoulder right in front of me.
I'm just another survivor with a testimonial.
So if you want a salesman, Google it.

Most manufacturers nowadays produce steel cabs. I can't recall when Mack has built Alu cab last time. RD's were steel CH, Visions were steel. Freightliner Cascadia is steel cab even newer Pits and Kenworth trucks are steel cabs, not all but many. International has steel cab since Prostar came out. All Classic trucks have Alu cabs till today but Volvo was always steel and so what?
Even though I never was a fan of Pitts or Kenworth trucks I can respect peoples choices even those who drive Volvos.

Nice story but I’m not impressed. I’m Glad you survived your crash in your Volvo and that you’ve become a Volvo disciple. But your attitude of insulting other drivers who don’t drive a Volvo is quite off putting.
You showed us videos, do you have the data to back it up? I’m being serious now.

Oh boy, I looked at your profile and apparently you drive white Volvo. Now I see why you’re so angry. On behalf of all insensitive TTR posters including myself, sorry bro.

I have to say that I don't care what kind of truck the company puts me in as long as it's well-maintained and I don't have to make the truck payment. I don't think the dead guy in this crash would have survived even if he were in a Volvo.

Better to focus on safe driving that worrying about what make truck he was driving. Let's face it, there are exactly zero semi tractors that have the same sort of safety features that 4-wheelers have.

This severe cold will play havoc in many ways. Get some ice in your brakelines and you may not stop. No idea really other than maybe on a phone.
    Oh well RIP driver.

Volvo bought Mack 18 years ago. Nothing new there.
