Of course not. So in your case, do they reload you when you deliver that 400 mile load two days early? I mean reload you within 24 hours or so?
Do not work for knight transportation!!!

I love the new company logo "DELIVERING MORE"
More WHAT?
Anyone read that Kevin Knight rant about the "special order" item that he had to pick up at the airport, but was too dumb or lazy to call or track the item himself? I can't believe that dipstick typed that up and printed it.
After posting for a couple weeks now that we are looking for lost, loaded trailers on the Qualcomm!

I don't like these kind of runs, and let my DM know about it, but it is part of the job, sometimes. Crap, in the old days, before elogs, I drove 1100 miles in 24 hrs fairly regularly. Well, maybe once or twice a year, but it did happen. Faster truck, of course, but point is>>trucking is like it has always been>>you got to deliver the freight, to the customer's satisfaction to make money.
My biggest problem with Knight is when I have to pick up a load that is already late. They do have a problem with that kind of thing, most assuredly. I use to really worry about that, but then I realized they must have been operating like that for years and years, and they are still in business, still buying new equipment, and still paying me on time, so, why worry?
Worry<<"Eet's not my chob, man!" -

So, the top executives a knight make over 1 million each year, (i'm sure, with all the stocks and bonds/investments within the company, buynig and trading on the free money kept from driver payroll-just like an interest free loan, to them) while the drivers make .33cpm at an avg of 1500-2000 miles a week.
Not getting payed for scales, detention, short time city work, delivering late loads with extra incentive from whoever they broke the load off of.

I applied with Knight Transportation once in 2003 and again in 2009. Both times, I was denied. Thank you, Knight Transportation for denying my application! You saved me a lot of wasted time and head ache by doing this.
I am driving locally for a very good company and they are paying me a fair wage. I get to go home everyday now. Kudos to the good truckload carriers but to the rest of you, it's only a matter of time before you cease to exist and time has proven this with so many carriers over the years.Big Don Thanks this. -
Sounds a lot like Hogan. Say good Riddens!
Professional-Trucker Thanks this.
