if you tax rich people to death then you're basicly punishing rich people for being rich, which defeats the purpose of people working their butts off to become rich, whats the point if you're being punished? I have always beene told if you want to be 100% fair then you should tax people for how much government they USE, in theory the rich use less government
Ok, so you think taxing someone who makes $40,000,00 at 30% is taxing them to death but taxing someone who makes $56,000 at 30% is reasonable? The millionaire is left with $28,000,00 and the blue-collar worker is left with $39,200. Who is being taxed to death?
Yes, the millionaire would pay more. Perhaps your definition of fair is different from mine...in my opinion fair=equal. If 30% is too much for someone who makes $40,000,000, then please do explain how it is acceptable for someone who makes $56,000.
I know this may be difficult to comprehend for some, but 30% is 30% is 30%. If everyone paid 30%, how is that not fair? Just because Warren Buffet made 100 million and kept 70 million, that's no different than Joe Blow making 50000 and paying 15000. But because Mr Buffet still has 70 million, those with 35000 feel he needs to pay more......I say screw that! Where's the incentive to strive to better yourself?
