You have never worked in the medical field I guess. I sure would not want to touch an unknown person's urine.
Depends on what terminal you're at . Lancaster has a van that goes in the evenings. Richmond will let you use van when not needed to shuttle students etc. All the others Ive been to - Memphis , Atlanta , Denver , Houston , New Boston , The dump in New Jersey , Ocalla , Gary, Ok city had no van .
Guys, please avoid taking long breaks at wal mart. It's the folks who take their 10/34s at wal mart, who don't buy a #### thing, and leave garbage that are ruining it for the rest of us. Go to wal mart when you need to buy something and then leave... That's not true. The only thing that effects your place in line is your PTA, and other things like HOS, mentor/team/flatbed priority. Being at a terminal doesn't matter. The reason I would avoid staying at a terminal is because you might wake up with a red tag on your windshield because your trailer tires are the wrong size...
There's a Walmart on 280 in ' Bama ( Sylacauga ? ) that has about 12 " no truck parking ' signs , with a rig in front of everyone of them lol.
I respectively disagree , I think that EVERYONE should park there , and here's why- As it is 5 people park there at night and spend 10 bucks with one azzhole leaving his pee bottle in the lot but... if 25 people parked there and spent 100 bucks the store would have a different attitude when they looked in the register Yes there would still be a pee bottle , but as the vast majority of drivers are respectful the manager would see the extra money from 24 people out-weighed what 1 idiot did , and he might even keep the deli open later into the evening . Heck if I ran a walmart I would put up a billboard encouraging drivers to park there.
And the best of both worlds would be those 25 people spending 100 bucks and then leaving, before their trucks leave ruts in the asphalt, before they wake up at 3am having to piss and not wanting to walk all the way inside, before they accumulate garbage needing to be disposed of...
Yes, get your stuff and get out so others can do some shopping. I went by the Walmart in Childress, TX on 287 and that lot was packed during the afternoon, people just hanging around in the cab, trucks backing up everywhere holding up the lot. Won't be too long before they close that lot off.
I foresee a day when all Walmarts will have low hanging no truck access bars and a minimum wage part time gate guard who will check your truck coming in to the docks make sure you have business with them. There is a new Walmart in Stockton CA at the I5/8 Mile Road exit but any truck driver would probably not know it. I told my wife Walmart is increasingly building new stores a mile or so off the main freeways to discourage truckers. She is skeptical at my theory.
