Yeah, pushing the 70 gets rough at times... my worst was going from Fernley (near Reno) to Las Vegas... Only had 8 hours on my 70 . I pushed it and made it in exactly 7.75 hours (including PTI) and the next day gained about 10 or 11 hours so I was good to go to Phoenix the next day haha.

US 95 is a beautiful road too... Went on US95 at Walker Lake, drove around a turn to see a lake, snow capped mountains and a sunrise!

Yes, still paper. There is no reason to go to elogs because unlike some other companies our drivers can add .25+.25 and actually figure it adds up to .5.

Currently still on paper, but if my memory is correct elogs will be forced on any fleet with more than 50 trucks by the end of the year. I used elogs at Celadon, I'd rather have elogs than paper. Can't cheat anymore, anyway, so it makes logging easier., IMO.

To my knowledge the Elog battle is still being fought in the courts. Too many unresolved issues. First round went to the you can't force them on us side. So to get around that a few companies including yours started complaining to their gov't officials that it wasn't fair and everyone should be forced to pay for them. My opinion? Its an unnecessary expense that should not be forced on any company that is willing to comply. USA is continually removing drivers that don't want to drive legal.

yeah...it is widely known that by 2015 ANY company over, I think, 700 trucks are, by law, required to have elogs! I got pulled for a level 3 inspection, last week(by mistake?) and the DOT guy looked at my truck, then said, "OH, you're on elogs....didn't notice your sticker at first...sorry....roll on." Then I asked him, real quickly, have you ever caught anybody cheating on their elogs? He then got into my truck and checked my graph....said yeah, I have, believe it or not...but you're good.....go! So I left....didn't get my #### $25 bonus! But, then again, was the first time in a year on elogs, I've ever been messed with! Now, i wanna find him and ask HIM for my $25! lol

Widely known fact?? Care to state your sources? I don't know everything but I do know I haven't heard that.
So many people saying so many different things, but OOIDA says its still up in the air at this point. I will say that many companies that have them already want you to believe everyone is doing it. I'll just have to wait and see. I also know not all DOT folks are just waving you through, in fact everytime I've been asked to show my paper logs those with elogs have been told to go get theirs faxed or sent in. So while I'm in and out with just a glance, elogs have to spend the time contacting dispatch and waiting for them to send tthem in.
