Yep, problem with these dollars store, that they're cheap. They don't care what lives they destroy as long as they receive their 1$ halloween decorations. Now I've been trucking for a while now, so I don't find them that hard. But when I started driving, these stores terrified me. Very noobie unfriendly position

    Very good point.

There is a good reason they try to get new (inexperienced and ignorant) drivers on those 'dollar' anything dedicated accounts...
The stores are a nightmare to deliver to.

Dollar store accounts are the fastest way to ruin your career in trucking. Difficult backing situations, almost certain to hit objects, including cars, at the stores, and lots of manual labor. Once you get a few backing accidents/incidents your current employer is your only option for work unil they fire you. It doesn't matter which trucking company or what the actual name of the dollar type store we are talking about (Dollar General, Family Dollar, 99 Cent Store, etc., etc). You could be unemployable in the industry within 4 months, depending on your backing skills.

These accounts are for experienced drivers. If you’re new stay away!

The experienced drivers won't touch them.
    They know better.

I did a dollar general account in Florida back in 2016. Most newer stores are all blindside backing in-between parked cars, the older strip mall stores are very tight alley ways some with tight 90s to get in or out.. the rolling carts are over filled, the water carts weighed upwards of 600 lbs.
If you aren't in shape, can't blind side back excellent, and can't figure out 90⁰ alley turns so you don't destroy your trailer... these accounts (dollar general, family dollar) aren't for you.. I worked this account for 4 months and made decent money... but the stress and physical exertion just wasn't worth it..

I'd definitely say, there's a reason these accounts aren't overflowing with seasoned drivers.. once we see what it's about, we find something different.. stay away from it or one little over sight could take your license or worse, physically harm you where you can't even work. I tore my shoulder pushing a water cart up a ramp at an older store when the ramp collapsed and the cart tipped back on me.. not worth it! Hope this helps.
