If you caught #### over a torn airline and a couple tree branches, makes me wonder how 3/4 of the drivers at the first company I worked for even managed to make it past the first week.
Don't know what to do need help!!!

Some things its best not to say anything and you pay to replace it if possible because companies will make a huge deal out of everything.

Man I wish I would have known now about this site and just paid somebody to come fix the air line out of pocket so that would have been one less preventable.. I mean like I said my friend who train with me did some #### and he abandon his truck and left a letter on the Qualcomm and he got a good local food service job now..!!! With nestle..

Charles, the goal isn't just to get a job, but to be good at your job. 3 preventables with Schneider...how many did you have with Werner? How many accidents did you have on record BEFORE you started trucking? You may have to take a job at a small paving company or dump truck, get your experience and stay out of trouble for a few years until your MVR and DAC clears up.
BTW, you can't blame your trainers. If you drove any time solo in a truck cross country, and made it back home alive, the trainers did their job. Have you figured out what you keep doing wrong? -
I didn't have none with Werner I hardly even drove with them that why I left them.. My trainer would use his and my hours to drive...

Fixing basic stuff like air lines, electrical cords, loose bolts, etc. is something every new driver should learn how to do IMHO. I'd always carry a fitting kit, a couple feet of air line, electrical terminals, spool of wire, misc spare parts, extra fluids and a decent tool kit. A few dollars in goodies could save you a lot of dollars in lost time waiting for a mechanic.Straight Stacks, G.Anthony, runningfr8 and 1 other person Thank this.

I try not to kick a person when he's down (I do...I promise I do), but when you see someone lying down on the ground like a 23 yr old infant, kicking him is first thing that comes to mind. Do you understand that if you do not fix what you keep doing wrong, you will not be able to keep a job?G.Anthony and runningfr8 Thank this.

Most company that would hire u now pay by 1099 or .19cpm. U can make more doing min. Wage.
Or maybe just get out of trucking. Maybe not for you. What is the next accident gna be? Not looking in your mirror while turning and running over a mother and 2 kids like that 23 yr old kid did in chicago? Can u live squishing people with ur truck? Just a thoughtlots of character and G.Anthony Thank this. -
Some people have it.
And some people don't.
Those that don't, need to learn when to 'fold um'.
