    Curious on what will happen for truckers now that marijuana has been decriminalized and is now federally legal and no longer considers a controlled substance.

    Still illegal at the federal level. You might want to put down your pot and get out of the trucking business if you are that stoned.

    The bill that the House passed ( and the Senate won't pass) contains a stipulation that the U.S. DOT can still prohbit people in safety sensitive positions from having any thc in their system. And the Feds are already on it.

    I know you're right. That is what is happening to the society nowadays. Some believe you can be intoxicated and perform your responsibilities with no problem. Don't include me in that group.

    I can only assume that you were stoned when you wrote this post.... Because if you test positive for Marijuana on a drug test you will be fired period!

    Truckers will never be allowed to use marijuana dude. The trucking industry has too much money involved. Each company has too much money involved. Insurance companies simply won't allow it.

    It's possible, if they make it legal at some point, that they would use the oral swab test. But this law didn't make it legal. There is a difference between decriminalized and legal.
