Not sure if this is in the right section or not...mods, if not, sorry.
Does anyone know anything about a company called Double J out of Jackson WI. I have done a TTR search without success. The only opinions I can get google to pull up either brings up Double J's own site with 'what our driver say about us' (like they would say anything negative on the company site), or Glassdoor, which wants you to be a subscriber/member before it shows anything. To me, it appears that they have decent equipment and a variety of freight, but I am at a loss for someone's opinion. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I can help a little, from what I remember, there Pete's are all automatic transmission, they do run a lot of adds at times in the Milwaukee Journal,Indeed. I know they had some dedicated runs. I believe there pay is in the high 30 cpm to low 40 cpm, i really do not recall. Quad Graphics is a big account for them. They have some local drivers doing local shuttle's for them. If I'm not mistaken all there trucks pull for other clients. They do teams and solo, gone 2-3 weeks or as long as you want to stay out. I believe the gals name that you would have to talk to is Mel.

Quad graphics was one of the companies they show along with Leonard's and Ceva Logistics.
I made a mistake moving from a mid-$50k a year company (who's equipment was junk) to my current company (which has good equipment) but I'm struggling to top $50k, and who's health insurance costs a lot for their cheapest plan.
Double J's website says they have 80-something trucks, so that may be why I haven't seen many of their trucks on the road. With so few trucks, I wonder how good of a health insurance plan they have.rocknroll81 Thanks this. -

I think they're power only company, not sure though.
I see them pulling ceva and forward air trailers which means lots of night driving.rocknroll81 Thanks this. -
I appreciate it. I know the best ad for a company are the drivers themselves. We all know, 10 drivers sitting in the park can't agree about the color of the sky, but ask a driver about their company and most will talk your ear off, and they're not shy about giving up the lowdown and dirty. I'll have a chat with Mel soon and get the company's side.

Just seeing this, I have been driving for them for about 14 months now. I am on the Leonards account and run mostly east to west and back again. Average around 3200-3400 miles per week. Easy driving, long haul.

If you live in the Gainesville area that new FedEx ground hub was just built in Ocala. Try a ground contractor. You should be able to make 60+ home daily or 70-80 home sun-mon
