Well, if you're from the south, that's an automatic ticket to them not only believing that you are incompetent & ignorant...but they also willfully claim they care for employees yet belittle, embarrass and try every way they can to NOT PAY YOU WHAT THEY OWE YOU. TRASH ALL I CAN SAY. If you want to feed your family do not work here!! They can't afford it! Not to mention since they are the almighty smart pants of the midwest God forbid you tell them they are doing something incorrect, you then become a target for their petty behavior and by ignoring calls, cutting miles or just driving 3000 miles for 83 dollars. Then charge you for random things because they can't afford you! Stay away! It's only good for 6months before the decline happens right before you, yet you'll be to blame! They love to cheat in every way possible! Detention time disappears they will never receive things which is b.s.!

This information is incorrect. Double J Transport has a beautiful Driver's room for every driver to enjoy. They offer free washer and dryer use vs charging you to do this service! I do not know any company that offers free washer's and dryers. We provide a nice car to drive locally when in town, when most companies require you to take your own Uber. Equipment is pristine, well taken care of, and are upgraded for all drivers comforts. Cleanest equipment out there. Employees care about all of the drivers! If you are a hard worker, you will succeed.

A Double J driver and I had a good visit a few days ago at the Leonard's Express terminal in Caldwell, Idaho. The former Holman terminal.

He lives around SLC and has been with Double J for two years. He's happy there and gave me the rundown on Double J.

Double J is power only doing contract freight. Leonard's Express on the reefer side. Quad graphics and I believe it was Forward Air on the dry side.

They've got about 100 trucks pulling Leonard's Express contract freight. Very long average length of haul.

Pay rate is similar to what we're making at Leonard's Express.

Double J is using Freightliners and have recently been upgraded from 68 to 70 mph. We're still at 68mph at Leonard's.

They have the driver facing cameras like we do here at Leonard's. But he says that they are allowed to cover the driver facing camera. At Leonard's, we cannot cover the camera.

From his story, it sounds like the owner of Double J was persuaded to start his company by the owners of Leonard's Express. There's some long history between them.

Sounds like the son is heading towards taking over from his father at Double J.

Sounds like Double J is almost exclusively contract freight, whereas I pull a fair amount of broker loads in my gig with Leonard's.

When Leonard's Express acquired Holman, I think they picked up a significant amount of contract freight originating in the PNW.
