I agree with some of the others, having additional endorsements is good to have whether you use em or not. It just holds some extra doors open if you choose to go that route. My suggestion is to get a for sure answer before retaking the test, then scroll up to the top and try out some practice tests. Again, good luck to ya buddy.

    Gizmo_Man and Brownsfan16 Thank this.

Yea I am gonna call and see what they tell me. The person who told me I couldn't retake it was some lady in a officers uniform in the test taking place. I dunno if she was highway patrol who knows but she told me there was a max I could take it and if I failed that I would need to re-take each part again.

but you already HAVE your CDL. they cannot take it away from you, if you fail. they may have a "limit" as to how many times you can go say in a week. they may "limit" you to one test every 3 or 5 or 10 days.

here in Mass, you only have to wait, like 10 minutes, pay your fee, go right back and take the tests.

so here, you are "limited" by how much money you have in your wallet that day.

In montana it is 55 dollars for a CDL. That includes all testing fees (minus the HazMat prints). You are allowed to take and retake the test up to four times before you gotta shell out another 55. As for endorsements, you can test and retest as many times as they have time for you. They just charge ya 10 dollars to cover the printing/material costs for a new CDL. The CDL is good for five years.

yeah here where i live a 5 year CDL is $50, and the hazmat test (each time we renew our license) is $11.50, plus the cost of the finger printing which is whatever. i have to renew the hazmat, but i will not renew the TWIC.
