I only applied for full time positions. It is not shown right now so whatever it was, it was filled. Im looking at an asset protection job too.

 

yea do that asset protection. every dc has that local city driver job opening. and nobody knows anything about it or has seen it. they tried it years ago and it failed

 

DeSoto tx has nothing but day cab city drivers and they’re walmart drivers wearing walmart transportation uniforms..

 

i know. im talking about the dc side.

 

The Raymond NH dc had another warehouse they leased in another part of town, when they needed trailers to be taken and brought back they used to commander a driver and pay them an ADP or half ADP depending on how long it took. Then one of the yard drivers got a CDL and they kept one of the old road tractors for him to use. They ended up selling that tractor and got a brand new yard horse that was licensed and road ready complete with DEF for him to use. That's how it was when I left so maybe other dc's need a yard driver with a CDL and are calling him/her a city driver ?

 

yes. only the walmart private truck driver openings are on drive4walmart.com. not swift, us xpress etc

 

They've also been paid by the hour for quite some time.
