A driver for friends company had is truck vandalized yesterday,, He runs local and the company lets the drivers take the truck home. While parked near the drivers home some one spray painted graffiti all over the side of the sleeper,
Now here is the question? Should the driver be held responsible to take care of what ever the cost to remove the graffiti even if the truck has to be painted?
I would say yes because being allowed to take the truck home it is the drivers responsibility to make sure the truck is parked in secure and safe place while at home. What do you think??

**** happens. Even in "safe" places. If the driver is expected to pay for it rather than the company let insurance, as the driver I would just go somewhere else. Easy as that. In a way you have a good point but in another way, *@#$ happens.

Please define a 'secure and safe place'.
Even parked in my apartment complex parking lot it could get vandalized.
The truck is insured for many reasons, and this is one of them.
If he parked the truck in a known high risk area without permission from the company then he should be responsible for any damage.
Otherwise, I don't think so.mrdot Thanks this. -
"While park near the driver home"
Right so like a regular street curb? Driver pays. In Chicago trucks park on the curb like it's no biggie but yet wonder why everytime their mirrors get torn off -
In this case the driver picked to place to park and assured the company he was parking is a safe and secure place,,
