It's been around a few years. And there's threads on here after it started service. Works like the other bypass most of you have but it's an app for phone or tablet.
I don't know about the driver coaching thing. That didn't exist in the beginning.
I used it 6 years ago with the local company. Always got green till it suffered technical difficulties and changed to red.

I had it on my tanker truck. It gave me no indication on about 1/3 - 1/2 of the weigh stations where PrePass almost never gave you a "no indication. PrePass will give a Green (bypass) or Red (come in) at almost every weigh station. DriveWyze competes with PrePass but my experience DriveWyze is not as good. I think Drivewyze uses the tablet/ELD instead of a transponder stuck on the windshield. I don't know if there is any difference in prices.Flat Earth Trucker and Another Canadian driver Thank this.

Shows this screen when you turn it in, then 2 miles out it’ll make a loud noise and say scale ahead.
Then Green light with arrow for bypass, Red with a drumroll type sound for Follow Road Signs.
My marker went crazy..Flat Earth Trucker, Another Canadian driver, O.Henry and 1 other person Thank this. -
It is like PrePass in some ways, but it works in some states that don't use PrePass, like MN.
Pretty sure it uses an internet connection for communication, unlike the PrePass transponder.
I have both on my truck.
If either gives me a bypass signal I am good to go.
Once in MN I got a bypass from DW but the sign said to pull in.
So I pulled in and went around to park and go inside to inquire about it.
He said that I should ignore the sign if DW gave me the bypass.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
My company uses it. It's an app you can run on tablets or phone also. It's give you 2 mile warning of scale ahead then 1 mile and then you get bypass with green light on screen most times or it says fallow road sign and red light. It not connected to scales in the road way that prepass it using. So they don't weight the truck. We almost always get green light unless scale is closed and then we might get red light saying follow road sign. It doesn't work in PA
My company is try something called safety+ for 30 days. It's giving you parking spots available for rest area like 5 miles ahead. I got warning for high cargo theft at truck stop by Saint Louis today I stopped at.

I always wondered how the weight stations would ok this system because you will get bypass before the drives that use prepass and scales in the highway. Once I get the 1 mile warning for weight station I'll get bypass vs all the drivers pulling into right lane needing to cross the PrePass scales in the highway. My understanding is it's just app that is using GPS location and it sends the information to weigh station using internet. Then it send you the bypass or not. That's why when weight station is closed you get that red light to fallow road sign because the weight station does not respond with anything if now one is their. Unless they leave it going. I almost never get pulled into weight station to scale anymore.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
There's a weigh tied in to somehow.
When they had difficulties with the scale I cross and got it sorted out. Sort of. I got told weigh in motion was the problem.
Something about having to fix it so that anything over 75k got a red light. The only time I got green was being under for that scale. Most times I was pulling 100k.
The opposite side I was always empty and always got green.
I didn't keep it after that. Wasn't worth bypass only one side.
Course. It might be different now. I used it 6 years ago. I haven't crossed a scale in 4 years now.
It should be noted that there were upgrades to the overhead sensors at both scales at that time also. And they added more. -
Don't think that scale uses it (Salisbury?) They don't even have much room to do a u turn anyway lolAnother Canadian driver Thanks this.

We have it and I get the bypass 90% of the time.
As for the coaching thing, sometimes going into a sharp curve with a history of rollovers, a screen will pop up warning me. Like I need to be told.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Ours will warn of High rollover risk for exit ramps, closed exit ramps (not always dependable after they re open) or entering areas where traffic is high risk for accidents- say like Atlanta and their screwed up highway routing. Rarely when I was OTR did I have to pull through. Now I drive at nights most all scales are closed when I roll through anyway. Not all states use it. Georgia is one of those that does not. Still have to pay attention to signs and lights.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

It appears to work now at all 3 of the ones I usually cross including that one, but it isn’t showing the last one for some reason when you hit the status button or whatever it is.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.
