Meh, been that, done there. Has that driver had his Bar Mitzvah yet?:biggrin_25524: As a kid, I drove junk. It wasn't until my 40s when I got my own large car.

You couldn't get that truck and trailer into places I go to. Better keep it out there on the super slab.

Same here. Nice truck, but I definitely couldn’t do my job with it.

A Pete 389 "Large Car" was my last truck before I retired. They're really no different than anything else. Granted, I was pulling a tanker, but you can get them into some pretty tight spaces. Actually, backing is easier in them, IMO.

I had to get around with a Kenworth W900 on a 280wb pulling dry vans and it's about the maximum that I would prefer. It's fine out on the highway but I have to deliver to feed stores and ranches. Not exactly wide open places like the big warehouses.

Yeah I love the look of long wheelbase trucks and think they're cool. Just not too practical for everything.

Some guys just like to make life harder than it needs to be. I can't figure out guys like this; them and those guys who put those shifters you need to reach for the headliner to shift in their trucks.

BTW, Beaver, is your air seat broken, or did your mommy forget to put the booster on the seat before you left the house?

With the truck designs being imposed on us now maybe everybody doesn’t want to be on display like a fish in a bowl.

The long shifters don’t drive me as nuts as the 10” visors that you have to sit on the floor to see out the windshield.
