Some of the biggest dumping grounds for drug users are in corporate America where drug use isn't tested.
I went to a wine party my parents invited me to in Austin Texas and talked to a couple people who owned companies and had houses off Lake Travis and owned houses and boats and such. I talked to one guy who owned a company had to deal with technology and security. He got invited to a lot of parties of other business owners and wall street stuff. He wanted the insider stock hints from the people he was with so he participated in the illicit activities to get along. He wanted the insider tips to he went along with the crowd.
Fortunately he quit and is sober now and just day trades for a living. I haven't seen that guy in years but he was successful and I'll always remember his advise about a few things he decided to give me. When it comes to drugs it really doesn't matter what profession you are in, you will find people using. And also the market drops faster than it goes up, but it goes up more than it goes down.
He also told me that being financially able to retire isn't enough, you have to be mentally ready. Its not enough to have the money to retire, you have to be disciplined, especially if you are hoping to retire early like I am.Farmerbob1 Thanks this. -
Things i know...
1) she could afford the alcohol.
2) she can afford a car that uses a key fob instead of an actual key. (That ain’t cheap!)
3) she’s still messing with an ex who is a dirt bag.
4) she can afford a smart phone/tablet.
5) she was dumb enough to drink and then sit in the drivers seat of a car.
6) i have no sympathy or compassion for bad decisions. Make better ones!lilillill, FlaSwampRat and TROOPER to TRUCKER Thank this. -
All you actually know is that she had enough money to buy alcohol.
The housing market in most populated areas in CA are absurd- it's #### near impossible to find a place on short notice.
Homeless shelters are NOT safe places. Especially in urban areas. I would definitely live in a car before setting one foot in a shelter, and I'm male.
You have zero knowledge of what happened between her and her husband, but you should be able to guess what kind of turd he is if he's calling the police on his ex when they are separated and she is living in a car. How did he know where she was? Stalker? Control freak that can't let go?
We don't know the story. Stop crucifying the OP when you know nothing. Would you like someone making up stories and criticizing you about your decisions when they didn't have a flippin clue?faux_maestro and TravR1 Thank this. -
Thread is 5 pages long & she hasn’t been on since Friday. If she wanted to provide any real info she could of done it by now.FlaSwampRat Thanks this.

Maybe she saw how some of the ####### on the forum were badmouthing her, and didn't want to fight her ex, the law, AND forum ########.faux_maestro and TravR1 Thank this.

When I do that it sounds like butt Tuck
FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
Your point is understood. Perhaps she should pursue gainful employment on Wall Street.

That's a very good idea.
