The thing is many of us have heard the same thing over and over and over ago throughout our lives. A lot are overly compassionate and willing to "help out" even if it is perpetuating the problem. We don't have proof that the op is actually having this issue but I give her the benefit of a doubt and wish her luck to learn how to make better decisions.

This industry is a dumping ground for the desperate, nothing against the op, but it is a huge problem who looks at this as a profession because it is just a job to those who are desperate.

Okay, not here to bash the OP, but @devon<3 was here about a month ago asking for advice about company sponsored trucking schools and explained her situation. Ex took everything but the dog. Many members gave very good advice on how to get back on track in her life. That being said. Call the public defender office in Sacramento {if that's still where you are) and ask if you are eligible for one. If you're not eligible through them, they can point you to a probono service. If you can get an attorney, consider talking to the officers supervisor and explain your situation. Then ask if they would reduce the charge to open alcohol container in public in exchange for a no contest plea. And lastly to the OP, go back to your post from last month and re-read the advice people gave you. Every one here is more than willing to give you advice, but we can't make you take it.

I see your point, in that case we are both right. lol

I would argue the point, that there is probably just as many women that ruins men, it is not exactly a one way street.

I spent 18 years as a Sworn Peace Officer and in my state to be charged you had to be (1) "In actual physical control of the vehicle" meaning sitting behind the wheel with the vehicle running or the keys inserted in the ignition (2) On a public street/road or private property which was open to public access (e.g. mall parking lot, grocery store or eating establishment's parking lot, apartment complex parking lot).

In Texas you had to literally be seen driving the rig, period. Way back in 79 I worked with two other operators for brown and root. they rode to work together, and both got a dui on their way home. I said impossible, but it turned out to be legit. One had gotten a dui a month before and hadn't been to court yet, so while sitting at a red light these genuises decided to switch drivers so he wouldn't get another one. lol right across the intersection sat a cop. BUSTED

Get it settled then move to Texas or somewhere far away from California.
Pack your bags then you and the pup stand at the exit of a truckstop on the interstate.
A small sign with the name of the state and town you want. You will be rolling down the interstate in a few minutes, toward your new home.

Texas is full. We dont need any more drama like that.

    Try Utah. It's closer.
