    Yup its common for local delivery to keep the roll up door up and the lift gate prevent stuff from falling.

    That depends on the type of liftgate. We can't do that with ours because they fold under the trailer. You're thinking of the ones that move vertically in channels attached to the trailer on either side. Some beverage companies use those because they carry electric pallet jacks in the trailer.

    Barring that, driving with the roll up door open is of little concern as long as the load is secure, but that really doesn't do the door any favors.

    I'm disappointed.. I saw a thread saying "dumb things I am now noticing" and I thought it was gonna be a thread about Swift drivers.
