I seem to remember them being in around the fuel cap hatches, but due to the flex of the cables, not "right there " - get your little mitts in there and have a good feel around.

Neither is a skirted T2000, and the more cheeseburgers I eat, the harder it gets.

Never be embarrassed to ask a legitimate question. If somebody has some type of rude comment, then it is THEIR problem, not yours. There are always a few folks around who like to poke fun at rookies. Don't ever let them get under your skin.
Yep. But it WILL get easier as you go along. You will find that the more questions you ask, the easier it is. We were all new at one time.
Yeah, but you do have a DIET pop with that cheeseburger, don't ya?;)

Still-in-school newbie here, so this might be a silly question, but:

Wouldn't this be something your trainer would go over during your training period? I mean, if you are new to a company, or new to trucking, wouldn't there be some time when you would be doing this with a trainer?

Sadly today's trainers have little working knowledge of the equipment they drive.

You'll need to take this upon yourself to learn.

And there's no silly questions here - apart from "Where do I find the good paying freight?"

Yes but my mentor was an O/O and drove a KW. It's in a different place.
