I didn’t realize you drove for them. I almost always see you guys in 8th Avenue Foods, when I’m out there. I occasionally run cardboard in there, when I’m not running car parts.

I used to pretty much only stop at truck stops that had a real sit down diner in them like this Sapp Brothers does or at least did. Once the great covid hit most of them closed. I am no retired and have no idea who is or is not open anymore.

Seems like a great company, and I considered them a bit when I still lived in sw MI. But them hauling reefer was a big no. I was driving for Magnum and I was fed up with reefer at that point. Not the company's fault, just too many consignees deciding to take 14 years to unload your trailer, and other reefer bs.

I also had 34 days of layover in a year. All of it was paid but that combined with always having to put in for detention meant I was sitting waiting to get unloaded or for my appointment time than driving some days.

I will probably never haul reefer freight again. I do not understand why so many people deal with the bs that comes around with it. I'm much more happy pulling a dry box. My company has some of the most stress free trucking I've experienced. But if you like it, hats off to you.
