I'm not making anything up. If you can do it on an elog you can do it on paper. The only difference is Im not writing it down. All the chest pounding for or against the stupid things is, well, stupid. Time management. If you're sitting in casinos or telling tall tales in the truck stop when you have 700 miles ahead of you, then life's gonna suck.

Y'all enjoy your elogs then cuz you're right, not worth arguing about. For me, they're a deal breaker. I would never lease on to a company that forced me to use one. If you can't keep a simple paper log without it being a distraction, perhaps driving isn't your thing. They aren't that complicated or time consuming.
stabob, Joetro, rogueunh and 1 other person Thank this. -
I don't think you can say I "enjoy" them, but rather have adapted to them. Unfortunately, the government always gets their way and you know they will and everyone will be on these because that's how they want it. At this point, it's going to happen. Not my choice. And I drove a long time without them and didn't need one so take your cowboy hat and your attitude about what you think I need or want and shove it up your southern ###. I'm telling you that we are all gonna be on them irregardless of what we want. Looks like you'll be out of a job then. See ya.

Can't wait until all these "I won't do it!" Crybabies are gone. Adapt and overcome or get left behind.archangelic peon, peterd and joseph1135 Thank this.
-
Why? Are these "crybabies" somehow getting in your way? Or is it that you feel, as do the megas, that the playing field will be "leveled" by getting rid of those that are willing to work harder than you? Why does it bother you so much that many of us can operate just fine without them that you have to want them forced on everyone?joseph1135 Thanks this.
-
I'm tired of the crying about them all the time. Once you get use to them they aren't that bad. They force you to a actual driver and plan your day. No more "oh that took longer then I thought it would, I'll just change my log to make it look good and drive an extra 10 hours today."
-
I agree with you. I don't think they should be forced. I would be just as happy to go back to a paper log. All I'm saying is government wants so government gets.Joetro Thanks this.

One thing you all are forgetting is a rule or law isn't put into action without a reason.
The reason behind eobr is to many Cowboys wanna fudge the paper log and run 1000 miles a day everyday. Problem with that is not everyone can do that and some ####### tried it and fell asleep and killed people. So that's why this is coming about. It's not the megas or anything else. Its the billy big riggers trying to run like idiots everyday and end up screwing up and getting caught.archangelic peon and peterd Thank this. -
Thats not the reason. We have been on a uptick when it comes to safety in the last 10 years. Before e-logs were the norm. E-logs came because of a few big companies and special interests that wanted them.

I mean really. These arguments are becoming cyclical now.Panhandle flash, ShortBusKid and joseph1135 Thank this.
