You can't edit drive time. That's the main point behind EOBR.Gunner75 Thanks this.
-
My last job had elogs most the day I was on line 3 and 4 because forgot to put myself on line 1 till I left the customer and sometimes was there over 3 hrs. You're on paper for so many yrs that elogs takes getting use to.
-
What about line 4 can you edit that?Thats what I mean about forgetting to log line 1 while at the customer.
-
I can't see elogs being wise our better than paper, driver in a hurry can always forget to put himself driving, can always forget to log a status change, can always forget to do anything. The elog, starts you driving when the truck moves after so much distance.
-
With the last company anything over 25 mph would put you on line 3 so most the time I would log pretrip and just leave it on line 4 but I get to the customer and a lot of times I would forget to log arrive at con till like an hr later then did my unloaded call.It does take getting use to when all you've mostly done was paper logs.It doesn't matter to me paper is just easier for me.I learned to be 100% legal when I drove for a company that wanted me to drive beyond my available hrs,he learned real quick I don't do favors for nobody and especially the ones who pays poverty wages.
tsavory Thanks this. -
And guys like you will just take whatever they tell you as gospel and whatever they want you to think as the right way, all the while saying, "Thank you, Sir! May I have another!"
I don't interact with too many drivers and typically, the ones I do interact with are veterans that understand what I'm saying. I stay away from the idiot steering-wheel holders and their silly, selfish attitudes. They can't relate to those that have put some time out here and think our ways are archaic, even though trucking was a whole lot better back then.
If you don't see a problem, then YOU are PART of the problem.ramblingman, Mr.X and tsavory Thank this. -
Don't trip stepping down from your soapbox.
-
Thanks but dont have an edit line on this peoplenet
-
Precisely. Not that I'd EVER do such a thing, but I have heard that some drivers with paper logs will actually show less time driving on line 3 by doing a short stop to take a leak and logging a 30 min break. Or taking an hour lunch in 30 minutes. Effectively driving SLOWER while still logging a legal day. Still trying to wrap my head around how that outlaw is so dangerous. Oh well.
And yet, here you are complaining about something. A paradox I tell ya!Panhandle flash, Mr.X, Joetro and 2 others Thank this.
