If the earnings are up, great. I'm at the Chicago terminal, along with 30 + drivers waiting for freight, I told dispatch if they sit me, after I jumped thru hoops all week for USA, I'm heading to the buckeye, with no return date. I'm done with this, period!

I'm close to that myself. Just did a 34 with my company. Did 350 miles. Now sitting for 24hrs on top of a 10hr break. Im 3.5hrs from home. Was 4hrs from home on 34. I would rather sit at home, but I guess thats only for DM's, CEO's, and veteran drivers. The rest of us do not matter!

I'm wanting to go home this week and I do have a load. Doesn't pick up until sometime tomorrow... Went to the shipper today and checked in, dropped my trailer, and they gave me a number directly to them for me to call in the morning to check on the load.

I just got finished speaking to another driver on my cell phone, he is turning in his notice monday. He is simply tired.

how long have you been driving?

I think your comment is directed to me. So I will reply. I know this sounds like a contradiction but it is possible to make money and still have financial trouble. I have no knowledge of any of this, but I suspect USA Truck is deeply in debt. They have over the last 4 years bought hundreds if not at least a thousand new tractors AND trailers. I am sure some bank is holding millions in loans from this. I also understand they are also still paying off several large legal settlements. I don't know if that matter from Colorado has been settled yet either. So if I am right and USA Truck is in deep debt, all it will take is a small loss in earnings and they might not be able to service said debt. If this happens USA Truck might be forced into bankruptcy Now with all that is happening with the mess in Washington with their debt situation, how long do you think it may be till USA Truck loses their federal money? Add this to the fact it seems that the company has lost some accounts of late. This is why I keep enough money on me to ship my belongings and self home.

Do you still work for Watkins/Shepard? If so how do you like it and how are they treating you? I looked into them before I started here at USA and still kind of looking at them... They have a terminal less then 30 minutes from my house in Austintown, OH. That is if I decide to stay OTR... Still looking into local as a primary objective as of now though.

yep i do lol thats why i was asking. They are treating me VERY good, still getting great miles. If you want OTR, now that you got a little exp i would deffinatly look into them.
