You can drive 10 hours a day if you want. You could even do 8 or 9 a lot of days. Doesn’t that excite ya?

Ya got 14 hrs a day that you can work. You can drive 11 of those and there are days when you’ll need to do that. But, most of the time you’ll drive 8-10.

Boondock and Savor the Flavor Thank this.

Solid reasoning. I'd probably just do 5 or 6 and you may never get burned out.

11 is the maximum. You won't need to drive that every day. Depends on where you're going; your destination.
You might drive 10 today and 5 or 6 tomorrow, because you've arrived at your destination.
It's a myth that truckers are forced to drive 11 hours every day. That's coffee counter blather.

A terminal manager called me and was yelling on the phone about me shutting down with 6 hours of driving time left.
I said, "What do you want me to do; circle around the block for 6 hours; I'm at the customer now."

Its always been so much easier to drive a truck from a warm cozy cubicle on a telephone:)
