Of course, being an undead of uncompromising principles, I didn’t participate in any of that stuff. Besides, Big Maude made me watch the truck while she went.Sirscrapntruckalot, Boondock, dwells40 and 7 others Thank this. -
I used to like the Back Rows of Tricky Twuck Slops until them thar "back rows" attracted the Vermin Drivers and the Front Rows were usually sown up b4 18:00 & Middle Rows (as availed) were too Tricky when worn out, so it required Move 'Em Out and avoid hittin' sumtin ina seemingly mild Rest Aria.

Wonder if you can bottle jack the rear end, pop it in gear and rack up the miles while you sleep. -
Drive a fuel tanker.
5 12-hr days on.
Two days off.
Of course, you'll be working nights, and your days off will be Tuesday and Wednesday........
It's not as bad as it sounds.
I did it for about 4 years.
Of course, that was back in the "Drive 10/work 12/rest 8" days on paper logs.
We had an hour and a half to use for breaks each day, and we'd hang around the racks trading gossip and ############ with each other.
It was fun, but now "ain't nobody got time for dat."
If anything anybody says here "makes you nervous" about going trucking, then do yourself a favor and don't bother going to truck school.
This job takes full-on, gut-level commitment, and you either have it or you don't.
Good luck.
