Hey
Former truck driver here, working now as an energy analyst. I'm writing a cost benefit analysis for a client who runs several stationary 48' reefers 24/7 with the doors open to a room temperature dock. I'm going to suggest electrified or hybrid diesel or electric refrigeration units for their trailers.
Do any of y'all have feedback on a particular make or model of refrigeration units to avoid or to recommend?
Thanks!
Electric reefer thoughts?

Regardless what they get I'd recommend roll up doors. And keep em closed until actual loading/unloading unless they just want to ruin the units because they got money to burn?

Transport refrigeration units are designed to maintain the temperature of the product loaded. They are not efficient to cool a dock area. If the trailers are not to be pulled over the road, but rather for onsite storage, another choice would be refrigerated sea containers which can be run with an permanent electrical hookup. They already have plug In stand by
just throw the bulkhead up on the tail when not in/out…
