Bring the guys in who still think that not being able to print out a copy to the dot officer if he asks for it on paper isnt going to get you put oos for 10 and then make you start on paper after your 10. Lol.

 

Those are actual elog devices, NOT electronic versions of a paper log. 2 different sets of regulations...§ 395.8 pertains to paper logs (and equivalent electronic forms), and § 395.15 for actual elog devices.

 

D.O.T. can print from Qualcomm. All they have to do is hook their computer to it. Never heard of the driver being able to print from it?

I ran using Big Road for two years and love it! I kept a BT Printer in my truck and printed out my logs at the end of the week. Only one time did a DOT officer ask for the paper but, I was out of good service at that time but, could email the logs to the officer's email address. That was fun,,,not. After an hour, I was free to go with no infractions.
