I saw one where the driver hung one triangle on the trailer door latch and another was sitting on the DOT bumper. I guess that’s how it’s done over in India??

Total loss of air to trailer so it wouldn't move. Vice grip, screw driver, and a couple of wrenches to back brakes off. Would it not been possible to get it off the road. Would have been better to sit there with the truck and flashers off. I don't care where the driver put the triangles he is stupid for dropping it in a traffic lane. Drag the #### thing off the road.

What about the idiot drivers who angle the 3 triangles to direct traffic *into* their parked equipment.

Seen a truck the other day half on the shoulder half in lane of travel... One triangle beside DOT bumper, one at midline trailer blinker, and last one at the 5th wheel... SMH

I like having four triangles. And shot bags to hold them down.

First three to direct traffic away. Closest literally on shoulder stripe. Fourth at front bumper also on stripe. (A pair of cones for front & rear of vehicle would be good. Stow the fourth triangle)

Triangles 3&4 works well on stripe as most drivers have pre-conceived RH clearance allowance. They stay away.

I got sleepy today on 95 in NJ. Pulled over on an on ramp that had a wide spot. One of the accident patrol people knocked on door 10 minutes later. Told her I was falling asleep and was taking my 30. She said she was checking to see if I was broke down. Said she would radio it in so nobody bothered me. If I was broke down she would have responded before I got my triangles set out lol

I'm a hair above average height. My step is right about 30 inches, or 2 1/2 feet.

The standard 10/100/200 foot placement means starting at the back of the trailer:

    - Walk 4 steps, place a triangle. 10 feet.

    - Walk 36 more steps, place a triangle. 100 feet.

    - Walk 40 more steps, place a triangle. 200 feet.

You can adapt the method to various situations.

Triangle placement has to be done within 10 minutes of stopping.
