    What’s up Guys.

    I got a 1999 Freightshaker Century with an S60 12.7 Detroit.

Fan should be coming on when water temp his 180 degrees, but it doesn’t. I have to maually use my engine fan switch everytime now. Do you guys have any idea what I could check?

    -have power at solenoid switch
-I did replace coolant temp sensor

    Thank you for any suggestions!

Shouldn’t come on at 180 imo but I’ve never owned a Freightliner.

Mine have always come on around 210
My normal operating temp is 181-183

Oh wow, I think you guys are right. The thermastats are 180 degree, which means the fan should be 10-20 higher. OK maybe I got confused I will run it down the road and recheck it.

My running temp is 175-180. So when I saw 190 and no fan the other day I may have got spooked for no reason. Thanks for the response, I’ll double check.

Fan on temp will not change with lower thermostats. It is set in the ECM by Detroit. I don't even think you can change fan on temp, just duration.

215 is what I've been seeing in cat, Cummins, and paccar. And the newer detroits.

180?!??! That's around what your truck is supposed to run at. I thought the fan came on at 220, but to be fair it's been a while since I've been in a Cascadia.
