Anyone using a EOBR? If so, what are your thoughts?
According to Mercer, everyone will be required to have them starting 9/14. This way there is a 2 month period to learn how to use it. I think quite a few will move on when this happens.

JJ Keller. It operates through a smartphone so you don't have that big keyboard hanging on your dash.

Ahh, I'm skeptical of those. How does it connect to the ECM?

The box is connected to the ECM. An app from Keller has to be installed on your phone to connect with the box. The biggest downfall is trying to read everything on the small phone screen. Sucks getting old lol

Good to know, I should learn more about it. I could see the advantages and disadvantages of this. Does the company provide the cell phones? Or do the drivers need to get them themselves.

PS sorry for hijacking your thread this is just more interesting than the work I'm not doing right now.

No problem at all. You have to furnish the phone. Mostly everyone nowadays has a smartphone anyway. I haven't really seen any difference in my data usage so far.

Wait till you get close to Canada or enter their country. Data charges will eat you alive.

    VinceL Thanks this.

I turn my data off when I am 50 miles from the border. I have seen the charges.
