There’s little reason why you can’t get a job as a W2 employee driving a truck.

@Chinatown may have some leads on better companies if you post your general location.

Well, check back here - others might have some helpful information.

Remember we’re not lawyers here - but it might take a mildly threatening letter from a lawyer if they think they’re going to keep your $2500 without the right to do so.

Please don’t get another 1099 position.

Is there anything on your drivers license that would prevent you from working for a decent company?

How much experience do you have?

    tscottme Thanks this.

No. I have two years of experience. I used to drive flatbed and because of heavy and difficulty I decided to move to dryvan and reafer.

It baffles many of us here , every day - how drivers get duped by shady companies.

You can’t know what you don’t know, until you know it.

Sunlight is a good disinfectant. Keep us updated on how you get along.

@Chinatown usually has good recommendations for companies.

    Be safe out there.

Understood. If you have no tickets or accidents - and 2 years experience - you should be able to secure a well paying job with benefits as a W2 employee.

Hopefully no tickets or accidents thanks God. I understood that if I want to be safe with my paychecks I had to apply for W2 positions. I will post everything about that company everywhere to aware others to be careful and to take a risk working with them. Even on Muthetruckers Chanel on YouTube to make them famous.

What country are you from, and what visa are you on - if you don’t mind me asking.

Im from New Zealand and came in on an H2B visa - eventually naturalized citizen, after EAD, and green card process.

    Chinatown Thanks this.
