Guy I work with called PTL last week. He has a 14 yr old dealing and a 8 yr old robbery charge. She told him that was no problem at all, even gave him a # to a school they recruit from

My last students here at Werner was an attempted murderer... his stepson beat him up and he shot the kid... served 11 months for it. The last time I went through orientation, the guy said to make sure not to lie about prison time, because we still take certain people who have done time. One woman had an old record...

I believe the regs say 7 years, so you should be mostly clear. Of course, you might have issues getting a TWIC or hazmat, but thats not required. They did have a form you could fill out to get an waiver, if you wanted to give either of those a try.

Go ahead and give recruiting a call. Werner is real average, but its a job, and the trucks are nice. The pay isnt too bad, and they dont treat people too badly. They dont hug and kiss us, but its a hell lot better than US Xpress or CR England.

 

Have you tried talking to companies if so what are they telling you?Some companies are more stricter then others.But I think you'll be able to find a few that'll give you a chance.
