Why? Were they backing up to your tail? Thats the only reason i could see for that, if back to back parking, its bad form to have your trailer tail over the yellow line between the two of you.

If youve got a curb behind you, back till you bump it, why stick your nose out further than neccessary?

Yeah, I was parked in a reserved spot in Altoona, IA. Just like many other Flying Js and pilots, the parking lines were drawn by #######. If I were to pull forward 8 feet to be in front of the line at the back of my truck, my nose would be out in the middle of the travel lane.

I lined up with every other truck on the line, and even pulled forward a bit.

I did explain to the guy who was parking behind me (not the Crete guy) that Flying J's and Pilots frequently have stupid parking arrangements. He was able to snug up within a few inches of my trailer and wasn't sticking out too badly.

 

I would pay to listen to that phone call to Lincoln. Hey truck ### is parked incorrectly ( who is this) I’m super road warrior from last weeks orientation ( is truck ### causing a hazard) no he is just a little deep and making it hard for my new friend ( hits mute button and call’s out to other people in room we have a new winner for stupid call of the week)

 

Heh. I already called dispatch and let them know to expect a Crete tard to call them and complain about me, and that I have pictures to defend myself.

I will call the o/o department and check tomorrow morning to see if they really did waste everyone's time with an idiotic complaint.

I don't make threats like that. If I don't think I'm in danger, I'm not threatening anyone with a fight.

On the other hand, if I really think I am in danger, without a way to back out of the fight, I'm not going to give a warning either.
