Wife (No CDL) and I just unexpectedly sold our house and were talking about going back on the road together for a couple of years. I've got 8 years of experience in flatbed and reefer. Perfect MVR and solid employment history. Looking for a good company with long runs where we can stay out basically indefinitely and stack some money to build our new home on our land. Have a bad shoulder so I'd like to stay away from flatbed. We are based in far Western Kentucky. I have Doubles/Triples, HAZMAT, and Tanker. Looking forward to hearing some suggestions.

Most tanker fleets don't have any ride-along option. Most food-grade tanker fleets don't pay you for all your detention (those 1st 2 hours or so are usually on you, Driver).
You've requested "no flatbed" -- so all those are out.
That basically leaves dry van & reefer.
Reefer is good money -- but very erratic delivery schedules...often/mostly at odd hours, long load/unload wait times, annoying detention pay procedures, and lots of good ol'-fashioned basic disrespect from shippers, receivers...& lumpers. Often -- the "split-sleeper" HOS option is your best friend.
The thinking here is the wife probably won't like all that BS (I know I didn't).
That leaves dry van.
One of the better paying dry van carriers is Barr-Nunn:
Barr-Nunn Transportation -- mostly drop & hook
One rider & one pet is allowed.
Check 'em out.
