explain what i found on pre-trip

    I have seen severely cracked drums, so a drum that breaks so completely as to fall off is not outside the realm of possibility. It's the missing shoes that confuse me.

    Completely off? It wasn't there to start with. The drum is pinched between tire and rim on assembly.? There would be pieces there. The offset would be off.

    Many still have problems with finding the dip stick when it is bright yellow and marked in huge letters OIL.

    I've seen enough truck parts laying on rough dirt roads to start a parts store, including brake can and brake pads. How often do your milk runs take you on rough roads?

    If you drive often on rough roads, drive it like you own it. By that I mean don't drive it fast enough to beat the crap out of it.
