It was my personal transponder, either they are "punishing" me for going 35mph through a 5mph gate or it simply didn't read it, I guess worst case scenario they charge me the max toll from Buffalo to PA line ($3)mickeyrat Thanks this. -
Worst case is the toll authority charges the rental company which then charges you $15 plus the cost of the toll.
Look through the rental agreement, there's usually a clause about the renter being responsible for tolls and large fees for any missed tolls.milehunter43 Thanks this. -
Just ask your DBL for a Pike Pass. It takes some time but they can get you one if you run through Oklahoma or Kansas on a regular basis. In the mean time, those tolls are reimbursable.
If you're an IC, please disregard the above. I don't know how it works for you guys. -
Kansas accepts Oklahoma Pike Pass. As far as CA., I use Fastrak, it's a transponder on the front of my truck, I submit toll bill from the emailed bill I receive in a few mins/hrs and it's on my neXT check from my company. My company I drive for has Pre-Pass /EZPass and OK. Pike Pass, I have my own FastTrack for CA and my own Sunpass for FL
