Drivers who want hourly pay remind me of this girl.
Doesn't matter how you cut the Pizza. Your still only getting that Pizza. Only so much money to go around in this business.

Don't care for some of the way Walmart does things, but spoke with a Walmart driver a week ago, they basically get paid for everything they do. Showed me his W2 made close to 100k. The year before that 99K...I'd have to say not a bad gig..lol...drivers just coming onboard with them 1st year 78k to 82k. He said if you drive for Walmart just don't think of them as a trucking company, that was his take on it, he's been there a while of course. I met him at a dealer shop he'd stopped to get a problem checked on his truck. Walmart isn't for me, but I'm just passing on what he shared with me that day, I believe its min 30 months exp for anyone here newer to driving. They have some slip sitting, seems no trucks go home, best you live near DC your hired out of, a few other things. Again just passing on the info drivers, we need to help one another out these days. Have safe one driver.
Dharok Thanks this. -

What you company drivers fail to realize is that this industry runs on extremely tight margins. Your employer can't just invent more money for you out of thin air. Your gonna get the pizza your getting regardless of how they slice it for you. Theirs no more pizza to give you without starving themselves ergo putting themselves out of business ergo you no longer have a job.BoostedTeg Thanks this. -

I've found that since I went with a company with a 70mph truck I don't find myself pushing in construction zones as much. In a 64mph truck I feel like I sped a lot more. Not exactly the most professional thing to admit but the truth.

Fast trucks = big horse power
The reason the don't let children have big power is more than just speed, when sliding tandems and fifth wheels, drivelines would get broke, clutches would be burnt up and engine would be cooked or shut down climbing big hills.
Think about giving your 16 year old boy a new Vette, he will find out what it will do.
To answer the OP, my truck is fast, will hold any speed limit all day long. How fast will it go? I never tried, but then again the OP will never get a chance to try it, but will get passed by me. -
I love it when the big dogs pass me...again and again then again, all night long.
